Floor-to-ceiling glass windows open the living and dining area to the outdoors while the central room separates the wing with dining space kitchen kids’ bedrooms and breakfast zone from the zone that contains the master suite home gym and office.
The lower level of the house contains the living room kitchen and dining space along with the hall and internal partitions are kept to a minimum to create the illusion of spaciousness. A neutral color scheme and uniform lighting accentuate this further and ensure that this modest Slovakian home has a breezy and cheerful ambiance.
Reviving and refurbishing this beautiful English home with modernity while leaving its rich heritage undisturbed Fraher Architects did a splendid job of combing the past with the present in an effortless and sensible fashion.
Large corridors and a wonderful sculptural staircase greet you in here with paths leading to the private section of the house on the first floor that contains the adult bedrooms kids’ rooms and lovely guest bedrooms. Each of the five bedrooms here opens up into an individual balcony and pergola which offer connectivity with the panoramic backdrop.
It is the creative folks from DADA & Partners that came up with a design that borrows from the aesthetics of a ‘gallery’ even while offering ample privacy and a smart interaction between the different public zones.
