A beautiful modern home set in a quiet little neighborhood of the Dutch town of Roosendaal is all about finding new expression for local design and architecture. The expansive contemporary residence designed by Zone Zuid Architecten combines the timeless effect of the gale roof with sleek minimal aesthetics and a neutral color palette to create an exquisite interior.
Designed by SO Architecture it is two large boxes that make up the overall design of the residence with the one on the ground providing partial support for the second box above. A steel frame also provides additional support creating an open living area that contains the kitchen and dining room.
Moving away from excesses and keeping design simple and uncomplicated the in Mount Pleasant Canada combines a stylish cedar-clad façade with a cheerful modern ambiance to paint a picture of contrasting worlds. Designed by Scott Posno the striking residence was built to meet the demands of a modern family of four and has an inherent sculptural quality that is simply undeniable. A cantilevered top level provides shelter for both the entrance and the deck outside even as the basement of the house offers additional living and utility space.
Nothing transforms an interior completely like the right lighting. It could be a flood of natural light on some occasions and a carefully planned and executed combination of recessed and pendant lighting on others.
But none of these proved to be a major hindrance as the creative folk from LDa Architecture & Interiors conjured and created this modern masterpiece that uses the sloped site to its advantage! The three-level interior is both spacious and serene with clean crisp design and a neutral color palette holding sway.
