The new addition to the house is purposefully different from the traditional brick exterior of the house and while it does not draw aesthetically from the old structure it follows the home’s simple lines and uncomplicated form.

Keeping away from excess it is this minimal approach that defines the color scheme and the décor choices on the inside as well. An open living space spacious kitchen and light-filled dining room make up the new ‘social zone’ that is filled with ample natural light and flows into the deck outside.
The solid stone structure on the base level contains the children’s rooms along with the safe room and other service spaces. The more open sheltered area holds the patio living area and kitchen and is connected with the outdoor dining and lounging area.
White is undoubtedly the color of choice inside the house with shades of gray playing second fiddle. The use of bold color is kept to a minimum with additions such as the green bench at the breakfast zone offering a pleasant change of pace. Refined refreshing and at times quirky this Weston residence is all about light-filled bliss!
A series of rocks within a 5-meter radius of the water’s edge made the construction of this structure all the more complicated. Galvanized steel columns were directly drilled into the rocks to give the structure a sturdy base that can withstand the harsh local weather conditions.
