Some of the original features of the building like the façade wood paneling on the walls and skirting were carefully preserved restored and given a new lease on life while the floor plan of both the lower living level and the top bedroom level were considerably altered.
It is the second floor that houses the entrance of this fabulous home with a smart walkway leading to a cubic volume that is draped entirely in Brazilian teak. A large Cor-ten steel door provides visual and textural contrast to the curious entrance and leads into the foyer.
Décor is kept simple and unassuming and the high gabled roof creates a sense of spaciousness and contemporary grandeur.
