The new addition to the house is purposefully different from the traditional brick exterior of the house and while it does not draw aesthetically from the old structure it follows the home’s simple lines and uncomplicated form.
Wood steel concrete and glass shape both the exterior and the interior of the house with the bay windows making a big difference to its overall form. Inspiration is often found in the unlikeliest of sources. It is barely a surprise then that it was the form and feel of a lifeguard tower that inspired the homeowners of this modern family residence in Israel when chalking up the images of their dream dwelling.
Décor is kept simple and unassuming and the high gabled roof creates a sense of spaciousness and contemporary grandeur. With an open double height circulation area that connects the living spaces on the lower level and the more private rooms on the top floor there is an unabated flow of light throughout the house.
The design and realization of this breezy yet unique structure was left to the inventive people at Brahma-Architects who definitely produced results that left everyone excited and engrossed.
